Owner/Teacher/Music Teacher/Love and Logic Facilitator/Signing Time Instructor - Emily Vasica:

Emily is the Mother of 4 beautiful children. She loves her family, anything outdoors and scrap booking. She graduated from Brighton High school in 1999. She has also taken many State Educational Training's and has completed the "Love and Logic" courses and Facilitator Seminars. She has been a childcare provider/preschool owner/and Homeschooling educator for 10+ years, during that time she has learned what is most important to help our children to grow and inspire them to learn.
Emily has such a passion for our Children's education! Because of this passion she became one of the two original Co-Founders for Providence Hall Charter School in March of 2006. This is a K-6 elementary school that gives 700 children a wonderful education each year (and is currently adding a 7-9th grade which will house an additional 450 students and a High school due to the wonderful current board). Although she is no longer an active member of Providence Halls Board of Trustees, she is grateful and honored to forever be a Historic Member of Providence Hall.
As a member of the Board of Trustees, Emily helped write the Original Charter that received approval from the Utah State Board of Education. She was the Vice Chair from March 2006 until September 2007 and she was the Facility Chair until April 2008. Her job's were designing all of the facilities interior and exterior, buying much of the furniture and over-seeing that the facility was being built right and on time. She also spent a lot of time helping in the curriculum areas of the school, she helped watch and research several of the amazing original programs that are/were being used in Providence.  Emily has worked very hard to help create this private school along with many other wonderful Founding Members, and she is continually working hard to ensure a wonderful education for our younger children as well.

Emily Started " Rosecrest Learning Academy (formally known as - A Child's Garden Preschool)" in September of 2007. After extensive research she has put together wonderful programs for our preschool age children. Our preschool has grown from 2 to 64 students 2 and older and continues to grow at a rapid pace.  Many hours have been put into the amazing Joy-school/Preschool/K-12 Virtual Homeschool Private School.  Our parents love our staff, they love Love and Logic and they love what their children learn everyday.  Our families continue to return year after year and even travel from far distances to come here.  Emily loves what she does, she loves all her students.

Emily has home-schooled all four of her children as well as others children.  Her Son Graduated a year early going in to Law, and her daughter is due to also graduate a year early going into Equestrian Riding, and her twins are thriving in the 2nd grade.  She knows all to well how important the right curriculum and learning environment is.  She under stands the importance of the Love of Learning and the importance to have a Passion of What you are Learning.  She is excited to continue the Homeschooling of children of those who want to Virtually Home-school/Private School Education so badly but for whatever reason their current circumstances can't permit it.  She loves to teach, she loves to watch children learn and grow and to be inspired and will never quit doing it, she loves helping children and teens and is so excited to be able to continue mentoring your children and helping them become Leaders and get an amazing education!

Marisa McBride (Mrs Marissa)  - Teacher - is a devoted and loving mother to 5 children, ages ranging from 1 year old to 9 years old. She loves being a mother and making fun activities for her kids to keep them learning while having fun. She loves watching children learn new things, grow, and experience the amazing imaginations they have. She decided early in her motherhood how important keeping her children on a routine was to their happiness.  She embraces the Love and Logic parenting and teaching techniques and uses them in her own home.

She was born and raised in Utah, living in Cache Valley as a child. She enjoys sewing, reading, spending time outdoors, and being with her family. She has been in several positions in her church working with young children ranging from nursery age to 7 years old.  In her past working history she worked as a department manager in a retail store for many years, as well as a few different financial institutions. She is so excited to be at the daycare now to nurture and teach the children there.

Mrs Dani Teacher

Mrs Dani loves her students.  She loves working with all the kids and watching them grow! Dani has been a teacher/mentor for 4 years and is an incredible teacher! Her students and their parents adore her! She has worked in a Daycare and Preschools and is fantastic with her love and logic skills as well as being a great teacher.  Dani has loved raising her sweet son and loves that her best friend is her husband.  We are so excited she is one of our teachers!

She is a mother to 3 children ranging from 17 9. She enjoys being there for her children,
teaching them, mentoring them, and watching them grow and learn in the many phases of life.
She has lived in Utah for 16 years, and in Herriman for 11. She loves Herriman, the beautiful scenery and the close knit neighborhoods.  She loves working with children of all ages. She loves seeing their cute personalities and watching them learn and grown and develop into confident individuals. She is excited to work with your children and watch them learn and grow.

Allison Caviness (Mrs Allison) - Teacher - I grew up in Sandy, Utah where I always knew I wanted to work with children. By the time I had finished first grade, I knew that all I wanted to be when I grew up was a teacher. Playing school and teaching my pretend students was always my favorite activity when I was young! After graduating high school in 2005, I attended Utah Valley University where I graduated with my degree in Education. I was hired soon after by Jordan School District where I taught 3rd grade for 4 years at Herriman Elementary. I absolutely loved teaching and the feeling I get from knowing my students have learned something from me. There is nothing more rewarding then educating our future leaders!
I moved to Herriman when I got married in May 2012, and absolutely love living here! I retired from teaching after giving birth to my amazing little boy, Cash. Being a mommy to him has been the best job ever! Now my little boy is 16 months old and I couldn't be more excited to start teaching again. I am so excited to get to know my sweet little pre-schoolers and I know it will be a great new experience for me.
Some of my personal interests and hobbies are hiking, playing tennis, reading as much as I possibly can and doing any fun outdoor activities with my husband and baby.
Looking forward to a great new school year!

So now its like I have my dream job, to work with kids and to teach them. One of my biggest goals is to make a difference. Here I feel like I will be. I hope to make a good difference in the lives of your children as well as you.

 Sincerely,
Savanna Aagard

Laura Meier-Teacher

I am the mother to 5 amazing kids and Grammie to 3 awesome grandkids! All of my children have graduated and are all grown up. My oldest graduated with his Associates Degree at the same time he graduated from high school and has since received his Bachelors degree, 3 of my other children graduated early from high school. My youngest decided to be homeschooled starting in 7th grade. It was an amazing experience for both of us! She graduated a year early at the age of 16, and is working on her 2nd semester of college and she is still 17 years old. I have always loved teaching my own children, and now I love teaching yours! I especially love math. Rosecrest Academy has chosen the best curriculum to help your kids develop a solid foundation for their math skills. I love watching their brains work to come up with solutions! It is amazing to come to school each day to teach and love your kids!

Brooke Schmitt- (Substitute Teacher) I am a mother of 4 children ranging from 21-12. Now that all my kids have grown up my favorite part of being a teacher is to come and enjoy spending time with the kids. Since I don't get to see them everyday, I miss them and love to see their unique personalities work together and grow through what they teach at this school. I was an only child growing up so I always loved being around little kids.  My favorite calling I have had at church was being in the nursery. I would love to be a regular teacher here but my biggest job I have been taking on for the past 6 years is caring for my mother-in-law who has alzheimers. She lives with us part time so my time goes mostly to that. I have been a teacher for over 2 years here and love what this school represents. The love and logic program is amazing and to see what it does for these kids is incredible.

In my free time I enjoy exercising, biking outdoors, reading, supporting my kids in their activities, and have a strong passion for animals. I love being a part of this team of teachers. They have taught me so much!
